Community Outreach

The R.O.C.K. ATX is deeply committed to developing and growing our community outreach programs. We believe we have a responsibility to positively impact the lives of individuals and families throughout Austin, Texas, and beyond. We don’t just observe the needs of our neighbors and friends; we take decisive steps to address those needs in a tangible, meaningful way. We are convinced that service is not just something that happens on a Sunday or during the holidays, but it is necessary and honors God 365 days a year.

Below are some of the ways we give back to our local community:

Souled Out
In this community outreach program, we flood the city with prayer by going door-to-door, neighborhood-to-neighborhood, and offering prayer to individuals and families. This activity gives R.O.C.K. ATX members the opportunity to share their faith and show the love of Christ to others at the same time. We also pray corporately over each prayer request during a special time in our worship service. We believe that through prayer,  people can experience a direct encounter with the power of God.

Community Outreach Christmas Presents

Operation Blessing
Each Christmas, we celebrate God’s gift to humanity with the birth of His son, Jesus. In honor of this incredible gift, R.O.C.K. ATX members participate each year in giving Christmas gifts to needy families. Each December, we invite people who are having financial difficulty to visit our church and fill out Christmas wish lists for their children. Members from our congregation then divide up the wish lists and purchase gifts for each child represented on it.

Backpacks for Back to School
Between new clothes, new school supplies and registration fees for extracurricular activities, a new school year can cause a lot of stress and uncertainty for families that are already struggling to make ends meet. Here at The R.O.C.K. ATX, we understand those challenges and want to help. At the beginning of every school year, members of our congregation donate hundreds of school supplies and fill dozens of backpacks with them. These backpacks are then given out to local families who are having financial difficulties.
